Tis the Season to be Tacky: Part ONE

The reason this is Part 1 is because I have attended two Tacky Christmas Sweater parties this season and each party deserves its own post.

This TCSP (Tacky Christmas Sweater Party) was a new one for me.  Kaylee, who I met through Bridget, decided to have one at her house and went all out with Etsy invitations that were the cutest and according to her: cheap on the money front.

You may remember her from the birthday post where we met Anna Kendrick.

I brought cheese squares, olives and pretzels - the three main ingredients to any appetizer plate in my opinion.  Bridget brought a cheese ball, there were 3 different boxes of pizza to consume, chips and salsa, and my favorite dessert: brownies.

Once everyone was full of food, we stood around the kitchen awkwardly and talked about our lives for a moment, how blessed we are with our health and about how some of their doctor friends/husbands have to deal with sickness and cancer every day.
Two of the girls are expecting babies next year and one of the girls is engaged to be married so it was time to reflect on how things have changed since we last saw each other in August.

We made our way into the living room to start our Dirty Santa Scarf Swap.  We were all very nice about the dirty part of the game and only a few people stole each others.  We all picked out awesome looking scarves so it was hard to part with the ones we received.  Thank goodness nobody stole mine.  I love it.

Next was time to take pictures, outside and inside.

I can't wait to do this all again next year.
Yay for new traditions and (feels like) old friends.
